Watermark Production is a film production company dedicated to launching thought provoking films by providing guidance, scheduling and production management. We help to develop independent film projects and take them through a variety of phases of production. We know that filmmakers are passionate souls and their vision must be protected. Our involvement may be as a team member from inception to completion or as a consultant on specific phases of production

Judith Richland

Judith Richland is a producer/filmmaker, currently with films streaming on Amazon Prime and Netflix. Based in Boston, she co-chairs Boston Film Fatales, is a member of the Massachusetts Production Coalition, Boston Women in Film and Video New England, Harvard Square Script Writers, and the Provincetown Film Society.  She is the founder of the International Women’s Film Forum, an organization she conceived of and ran for six years, inviting international women filmmakers to screen their films at Simmons University and the Boston community. 

A graduate of Cornell University, majoring in Psychology, Richland went on to earn a Masters Degree in Art History, an MFA in Fine Arts and an MFA in Motion Graphics and New Media.

After working as a graphic designer in the marketing department for a large architecture firm, The Architects Collaborative

(where she created the first architectural marketing videos), she ran her own award winning business, Richland Design Associates. Among other honors, she was the first the first woman President of the Boston Chapter of AIGA (American Institute of Graphic Arts), part of a national organization that she ran for two years.  

Richland transitioned from her successful design business to take a full time job as an Assistant Professor at Simmons College in Film and New Media for twelve years designing several unique courses one of which was “International Women in Film:

A Leadership Model.”
